The Senior Experience
Let me help you capture the most amazing time in your life!
My goal is to provide you with a fun, comfortable experience that you will cherish forever and memories that will be preserved properly in quality print products for the generations to enjoy.
We will design your session during our consultation. Location plays an important role in your Senior Experience. We can choose from the outdoors to modern urban scene. We will take the seasons under consideration. Don’t forget to incorporate your letterman jacket and/or any activities that are important to you. You can dress up (my Client’s Closet has many gowns to choose from) or you can be casual.
The most important part is TO BE YOU! I want to capture YOU and your personality.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to book a senior session?
I highly recommend booking the senior session in January/February of their junior year. Scheduling your session to take place in the summer prior to your senior year has many advantages. Your schedule is not as busy and the weather is absolutely beautiful. You will be able to enjoy it more and you won’t have to worry about the yearbook deadline.
If you are interested in senior portraits for your own use, I recommend choosing the season that your senior loves the most. Summer and Fall are my favorite times to take those portraits. If you are using the photos in the yearbook, please check with your school to see when is the deadline. Some schools require to have the portraits ready by early October.
How much is the Senior Experience?
The Senior Experience has two parts…
Part I is the Session fee of $200. It includes multiple outfits and up to two locations. It consists of a consultation to design the senior session, a wardrobe consultation, up to 4 hours of session time, and an in-person ordering session. The session fee is due at the time of the booking and does not include prints, products, or digital files.
Part II – Print Collections begin at $590 (5 portraits). A digital file is included with each portrait collection.
Digital Packages begin at $500 (7 photos). $100 additional image.
Are digitals included in your Portrait Packages?
Yes! A digital file is included with each print product that you purchase. Through years of experience, I have carefully chosen my printing labs to guarantee the quality of the products for the best possible results. You are welcome to see all the products at my home studio.
Who chooses the location(s) for our session?
We do it together during our consultation. This is one of my favorite things! After, I get to know you a bit better, what are your likes and hobbies, I will be happy to make recommendations of what place will be the best match to showcase you personality and align with your vision. Choosing the right location is a very important part of the session because I truly want to caputure you in your element. If you like outdoors, we definitely have the most incredible choices in Colorado Springs. If you love art and prefer something more modern and urban, downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs have so much to offer.
How soon can I see my pictures?
In most cases, within a week of the session, we will schedule a reveal appointment where you will be able to choose your favorite portraits. After the selection is finished, I will edit the portraits within 7-10 days.
What to wear to senior portraits?
I’m happy to help with that during our complimentary consultation. Picking several outfits for the session that are season-appropriate creates more opportunities to showcase the real you. Solid colors are timeless. Trust your instincts and choose what you are comfortable in. Long sleeves are very flattering. Remember your socks will show – pair them with your shoes and no flip-flops.
What is the Client's Closet?
I’m so glad that you asked. After collecting dresses and skirts for many years, I was able to build a Client’s Closet. All my Seniors and anyone else who books a session with me are welcome to wear them in their session. We will schedule a complimentary wardrobe consultation at my home studio where you will be able to try those gorgeous gowns and dresses on.
Who submits the yearbook photo to the school?
The senior does. I work with seniors from different schools, districts, and cities. Each school has a different deadline and different systems of submission. I prepare the image with the standard specifications (300dpi, srgb color space, vertical orientation) and save it with the senior’s first and last name.
Do you offer Cap and Gown Portraits?
Yes, I absolutely do. My seniors who choose my top print collection receive two complimentary Cap and Gown Portraits and a set of 25 senior announcements. The Cap and Gown session is a great time to do a family portrait as well. Graduation day goes by so fast and moms especially are the ones who take the pictures and they are never in them.

Hi! I’m Maria Randolph.
I’m so glad you stopped by! I hope all this information helps to answer your questions. Please know there is no wrong question and I’m here to help and make the senior portrait experience as friendly, easy, and memorable as possible. I have specialized in high school senior portraits for over ten years. I have introduced the consultation because I want to get to know you better to design a session that reflects your personality and captures you in the right element. I treat each client with respect and offer them all my time and attention. You become a part of my photography family.
Why choose me to be your Senior Photographer?
I want to be the reason you feel WELCOMED, SEEN, HEARD, and VALUED! I want to get to know you a bit better and tell your story.
withtThis is not your typical senior session. It took me years to design it and perfect it.
I started to specialize in senior portraits because I LOVE working one on one with them. My daughter is a teenager and helps me in understanding what you guys are going through. That is why adding a consultation so we can design your session together, sending you a questionnaire, so I get to know you a bit better before the session, make you feel relaxed, and guide you during the session, so you have a great experience, means a lot to me.
I know how stressful junior and senior years are. I want my Senior Experience to be one of the things that will make you smile when you go back to think about it.
I only take one client a day. You will not be squeezed between appointments or rushed because I have to meet someone else. I’m proud to provide you with exceptional service because I care about you! I try to provide you with a service that requires minimal effort on your part and is a lot of FUN!
I’m a certified professional photographer with the ppa (Professional photographers of america) and I have received my master of photography degree with them in may of 2023.
